Ready or not.......
............"Welcome to our blog!" I tried to begin this whole blogging thing earlier this morning by sitting down at the computer desk with an over sized glass of coke, with Yo Gabba Gabba on in the background and jump on the bandwagon with all the other bloggers out there. What's my excuse that it's taken me this long? I'm a mom. I'm a nurse. I'm 28 weeks pregnant. I'm a wife. I'm a maid. I'm a cook (1/2 the time). I'm a sister. I'm a daughter. I'm a clean freak. And the excuses go on because no other blogger out there is right?....After it took me over an hour to figure out a layout and a name, I noticed an awkward banging on my front door. Thinking it was the UPS man who sees me on a weekly basis with no makeup on and rarely out of my pj's I head out to see what was delivered and what do I find.....Colton and Larry(the dog) standing at the front door saying "Ready!" with his shoes on and all. Trying to bribe him to leave me alone without his help blogging, I mistakenly said "We'll go bye bye when I'm done." With Colton, you have to actually be bathed, dressed, packed, and ready to go when you use the words "Bye, Bye," because he obviously knows how to get ready and go bye bye whether you are or not:) So needless to say, the blog was postponed with a trip today to Anderson Park.
Cruising
I had a parent come up to me and ask how old Colton was because he was fearless on the playground! What I don't have a picture of is him taking off to the big kid set and climbing up 15 stairs where he was then running across a bridge easily 15 feet in the air with barely a railing and slides with no handles. I've never ran so fast!! I forgot to mention I was in a dress and there were holes in the surface of the playground and every surrounding school was there on their field trip. Needless to say, I'm sure they got a good laugh because I left my "full butters" as my husband Matt would say at home:)
Chatting with his new friend!
Peek A Boo!
No this was not an "Uh oh!!" This is him getting up from his nap he was attempting to take in the middle of all the chaos. A little boy probably 4yrs old comes up to me and says, "Is he sunbathing?" I about peed my pants. I can't wait for those questions to come out of Colton's mouth:)
Mom's Little Helper Always Watering the Flowers
Some annuals and hoping they will survive all this heat.
And some more.
