Cash is 6 months

I know I'm 2 weeks behind, but we have been just too busy around here to blog about everything we've been doing lately!! Good, fun, and not so fun:(
In this last week, Cash has hit so many milestones that of course I thought he was too "fit" not fat to do. Hope you enjoy a few photos and please don't pay attention to the quality because editing photos is the last thing this mama has time for and most are taken with my Iphone anyways.

Just hanging out is what we do. I love this photo and his shirt too! Especially his pudgy little hands and wrist rolls!

Health:  Of course the nasty bug had to hit our house too:( I thought we were in the clear until Colton started hacking and snot nosing one day.  Trying to keep him and his germs from Cash was impossible.  So me being the Nurse Mom I am kept blaming Cash's sneezing, snot nose, and drooling on teething and completely ruled out RSV on my own until he started wheezing.  Taking him to the ER was the last thing I was about to do because my baby was not gonna stay in that flu and germ infested place.  Overall, he didn't feel good, was waking up through the night like a newborn (which I don't miss at all), but was staying hydrated and not skipping a meal so I knew I could handle it.  So instead of his well baby check up the next day, we wound up with a course of steroids (can't you tell:) ) and nebulizer treatments, a little manual CPT, and suctioning the heck out of his little nose.  After a long 5 days and missing 1 night of work, our baby was back to his happy self.

Milestone #1:  Sitting up unsupported!!  My mom was watching him and literally yelled at me because I didn't call to tell her the news that Cash could sit up.  I told her he couldn't, but when I got home this is what I found.  He is so much happier sitting and playing instead of having to lay and roll and bang his head into the ground or into a toy.  Now just to keep him in the place we set him.

Weight:  20lbs!!! And we all thought Colton was big, but actually Cash is 3.5 pounds heavier so far! He is outgrowing everything from clothes to the Bumbo, bouncy seat, swing, and next the car seat! I thought we were so lucky having boys born in the same season so I didn't have to buy many clothes, but we do! He can squeeze into some 9 month shirts, but prefers 12-18 months.

Big Brother:  THey are starting to become little buddies. Dr Colton was watching Mommy assess Cash so he thought he would too.

Likes:  Books and babies so this book of baby faces is definitely on the top of his list.

Milestone #2:  He is about to crawl!!! I remember with Colton we were so anxious for all of this movement:) Cash just started to get up on all 4's and rock like a wild man.  It has to take a lot of strength to get that belly off the ground, but he can do it.  He even takes a jump here and there, but prefers the army crawling when he really wants something that's in front of him like the phone, remote, or Larry the dog.

Feeding:  So I finally have started baby food.  I forgot how much of a pain it is compared to just nursing, but at least I am NOT making my own food like I did for Colton.  I could care less about saving a dime or two and now I am all about convenience.  Cash is quite a pig and must eat 2 jars of food each meal so his food budget is about $100 per month, but he's worth it obviously:) He still only has breast milk.  Yes I am very lucky and am knocking on wood we can make it to Cash's 1st birthday too.  Sippy cup and water is next:)

He hated the green veggies at first and even made himself gag, but I think tonight he has changed his mind.  I compare him to Larry now.  He won't turn down any food:) I swear I can't shovel the food in his mouth fast enough.

Toys:  He loves his drums...can you tell.  These were a great gift whoever got them for Colty because you can stack them and make them roll so it really gets him mad and he has to chase them.  But for now they are stationary.

We're not huge on the electronic toys and gadgets, but the Scout line of toys is awesome!
He even got lucky here to have Colton show him the shapes and colors before he ripped it out of his hands. We're working on sharing:)

Meet Pauly the Penguin or Aunt Tay Tay as Colton calls it.  This guy is great.  You just smack the heck out of him and he just laughs at you and says "Woo Hoo..Do it again!"

If you could only hear the noise in our house in this picture!! I am regretting sending my dad on a wild goose chase to get the Pum Pum Drum for the boys for Christmas.  What was I thinking? If you see this at Goodwill in the near future, you'll know it came from a good home:)

My little helper.  This was not staged at all!! I left to "pee in peace" and came back to this.  They lasted for awhile until Larry caught on and realized Colton was dumping the baby food jar on his pants and on the ground.  If it wasn't for Colton, Larry would probably starve:)

Milestone #3: I almost forgot!! He finally cut his first tooth. The bottom left made it's appearance on Wednesday. Thank goodness he hasn't been overly fussy yet.  I am crossing my fingers as I type.  A little orajel here and there, but I don't really think it works, but it makes me feel better.  Usually he is chewing on his fist, or Sophie the giraffe, and he definitely enjoys frozen fruit or ice cubes in the Nuby net.
Everyone keeps asking, when is the next one coming? Are you going to try for a girl?  I don't know how this house could get any crazier.  We definitely are extremely blessed with these 2 not so little guys and couldn't imagine life without them. Hoping you all enjoy watching them grow as time is flying by!
